Meet Dr. Anamaria Castillo,
Dr. Anamaria Castillo earned her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, graduating with the highest honors. She was recognized for her exceptional clinical and academic achievements and was the recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Award for Exemplary Patient Care.
Dr. Castillo pursued her specialty education in Periodontics and Implant Surgery and completed her Master of Science in Oral Biology and Pathology at Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine. She conducted clinical research for Colgate-Palmolive, where she explored the effects of chronobiology on various oral health parameters, earning the Sreebny Resident Research Award. Throughout her years of training, she gained extensive experience in both reconstructive and aesthetic periodontal procedures.
Dr. Castillo is a board-certified periodontist and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She currently serves on the board for the Northeastern Society of Periodontists and is a Fellow of the International Academy of Dental Facial Esthetics. Additionally, she maintains active memberships in several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Periodontology, the International Team for Implantology, the Straumann Women’s Implantology Network, the International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgery, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and the New York County Dental Society.
Dr. Castillo is dedicated to patient education, emphasizing the important relationship between periodontal disease and one’s overall systemic health.
