Common Dental Emergencies We Treat

We can assist with a variety of dental emergencies, including:

• Severe toothache or pain

• Broken or cracked teeth

• Lost fillings or crowns

• Dental abscess or infection

• Trauma to the mouth or teeth

• Loose or knocked-out teeth

What to Do in a Dental Emergency

While waiting to see us, here are some steps you can take to manage your condition:

• Toothache: Rinse your mouth with warm water and use a cold compress on your cheek to reduce swelling.

• Knocked-Out Tooth: Keep the tooth moist by placing it back in its socket (if possible) or storing it in milk. Bring the tooth to our office immediately.

• Broken Tooth: Rinse your mouth with warm water and save any pieces of the tooth. Use gauze to stop bleeding and a cold compress to reduce swelling.

After-Hours Emergencies

If you have a dental emergency outside of our regular office hours, please call our emergency line at (631)598-2368 and dial 9. We will do our best to assist you or refer you to the appropriate care.
